Ultimate Breakfast Pizza
This might be the ultimate breakfast pizza, but we can guarantee that it tastes great no matter the time of day. Combining some of the staple ‘big breakfast’ ingredients like runny egg, bacon, and tomatoes – this pizza is a true morning miracle that everyone should try.
Cast Iron Pan
Makes 1x 12”/16” pizza
250/330g (8.8/11.6oz) classic pizza dough
4-5 tbsp classic pizza sauce
2-3 rashers bacon, diced
4-5 mushrooms (thinly sliced)
4-5 Cherry tomatoes (quartered)
80g (2.8oz) mozzarella
Sriracha sauce, to taste

For the sauce for this pizza, we recommend preparing our easy Classic Pizza Sauce. With a hint of garlic, salt and basil, it's the ideal pizza sauce that will help to bring out the flavours in the other ingredients used here.
Place your Cast Iron Pan with some olive oil inside your oven to preheat. After 1-2 minutes, remove the pan and add your bacon. Place the pan back in the oven and cook the bacon until it starts to brown, at which point add your mushrooms and leave until they’re cooked through.
Once cooked, remove the pan from the oven and place the bacon and mushrooms on a clean sheet of kitchen towel to cool slightly.
Using a small amount of flour, dust your Ooni pizza peel. Stretch the pizza dough ball out to your desired size, and lay it out on your pizza peel. With a large spoon or ladle, spread an even layer of sauce across the base of the pizza. Add your tomatoes, bacon, mushrooms, and torn mozzarella.
Add your egg – this can be tricky if you’re keen to get your egg cooked in the centre of the pizza. Crack the egg close to one side, so when you slide the pizza into the oven the momentum will push the egg back into the centre of the pizza.
Slide the pizza off the peel and into your oven. Cook until the egg is white, making sure to turn the pizza regularly to ensure an even cook.
Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven. Garnish with some chopped fresh parsley, a drizzle of sriracha sauce, and any other toppings you fancy – we like avocado slices for the full breakfast experience! Serve right away with a glass of fresh juice.
