Spanish Tapas Pizza

This tapas-inspired Spanish pizza is full of sun-kissed flavour. Salty olives and creamy Manchego cheese meet sweet red pepper and onion over a tomato base. Topped with a garnish of fresh parsley, this satisfyingly savoury pizza pairs perfectly with a glass of red wine.

1: Prepare your pizza dough ahead of time.

2: For the sauce for this pizza, we recommend preparing our easy Classic Pizza Sauce.

With a hint of garlic, salt and basil, it's the ideal pizza sauce that will help to bring out the flavours in the other ingredients used here.

3: Fire up your Ooni pizza oven.

Aim for 500˚C (952˚F) on the stone baking board inside. You can check the temperature inside your Ooni quickly and easily using the Ooni Infrared Thermometer.

4: Using a small amount of flour, dust your Ooni pizza peel.

Stretch the pizza dough ball out and lay it out on your pizza peel. Using a metal spoon or ladle, spread an even layer of sauce over the base. Top with the sliced onion, Manchego, olives, and red pepper. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley. 

5: Slide the pizza off the peel and into your Ooni pizza oven.

Cook for 1-2 minutes, making sure to turn the pizza regularly.

6: Once cooked, remove from the oven and season to taste with salt and pepper.

Serve right away!
