With fiery Sriracha, golden buttered tofu and sweet honey to finish – any spice lover will appreciate this delicate mix of flavours, perfectly balanced to complement the heat. Get creative with your Sriracha spiralling for a pizza that looks as good as it tastes!
Method
Prepare your pizza dough ahead of time. Our guide to making the perfect Classic Pizza Dough covers everything you need to know.
Pan fry the tofu in a generous serving of butter or vegetable spread. Once they’re golden and crispy, transfer to a plate with kitchen paper, and let fully cool.
Fire up your Ooni pizza oven. Aim for 500˚C (950˚F) on the stone baking board inside. You can check the temperature inside your Ooni quickly and easily using the Ooni Infrared Thermometer.
Using a small amount of flour, dust your Ooni pizza peel. Stretch the pizza dough ball out to 12”/16” and lay it out on your pizza peel. Drizzle the sriracha in a spiral across the base. The heat from the oven will increase the level of spice, so be wary of your audience! Top with the cubed tofu, onion, and sesame seeds. If you’d prefer, you can add the sesame seeds after the pizza has cooked.
Slide the pizza off the peel and into your Ooni pizza oven, making sure to rotate the pizza regularly.
Once cooked, remove the pizza from the oven. Drizzle with a generous serving of honey to counter the hot sriracha, and finish with a garnish of fresh coriander. Serve right away!
