5 things to do with the kids at home if you have a pizza oven

We’re all searching for things to keep the little (and big) ones occupied during lockdown… Ooni is on hand with five things to do with the kids at home…

  • Make dough together!
  • Every great pizza starts with great dough. And it’s the perfect activity to get the kids involved with! Check out our classic pizza dough recipe to get you started. Kids will love getting messy by kneading the dough!

  • Design a menu!
  • Whilst the dough is proving, get creative! Ask the kids to design a pizza menu using the ingredients you have in your pantry. Download the printable pizza menu to colour in, or design your own! Kids can play at running their own pizzeria and take orders!

  • Make your own Ooni!
  • Although it’s not safe for little ones to help cook pizza in your Ooni pizza oven, they can make their own! Our Events Manager, Hannah, created this epic cardboard replica Ooni pizza oven. Her kids love playing with it while she’s cooking pizza <3

Older kids can be Pizzaiolos, just make sure they are safe and always helped by an adult!

  • Get topping!
  • So the dough is ready, the kids have designed their menu, and they have their very own oven ready to use! Let’s get topping! Make it a fun task with everything prepped and ready to go. Smiley face pizzas are welcome!

  • Get creative with your table!
  • You’ve brought the pizzeria-quality pizza to the table using Ooni, it’s time to set the table like a pizzeria! Design placemats, dress the table with toys, flowers picked from the garden, or paper hats for you to all wear... Just make sure there’s room for awesome pizza!

Our Ooni Community keeps us going! We love to see your awesome creations, so keep on sharing on Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter, tagging #Oonified and #OoniKids
